Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Akaco Technical Solutions LLC ("Norex VPN," "we," "our," or "us"), governing your access to and use of the Norex VPN service, including our website at norexvpn.com, mobile and desktop clients, and all related software and infrastructure (collectively, the "Service").
By registering an account, initiating a free trial, or otherwise accessing the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Service.
Description of Service
Norex VPN provides each subscriber with a dedicated virtual private network server hosted on cloud infrastructure. Unlike shared VPN services, your server is not shared with any other user. You receive an exclusive IP address and encrypted tunnel for the duration of your active subscription.
The Service is provided on a subscription basis. Features, pricing, and available plans are described at norexvpn.com/pricing and are subject to change with notice as described in Section 14.
Account Registration
To use the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, maintain the accuracy of your account information, keep your password confidential, and notify us promptly at support@norexvpn.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. One account per person is permitted. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions, obtain additional free trials, or evade a suspension is prohibited and constitutes a material breach of these Terms.
Free Trial
New users may be eligible for a free trial period of seven (7) days. The following conditions apply:
- A valid payment method must be on file to activate a free trial
- To verify that your payment method is valid and active, we place a temporary $1.00 authorization hold on your card at the time of trial activation. This is not a charge — no funds are collected. The hold is released immediately upon successful verification and will disappear from your statement within 2–7 business days depending on your bank or card issuer. If your payment method cannot be verified, your trial will not be activated and no funds will be collected.
- Your payment method will not be charged during the trial period
- If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription and your payment method will be charged the applicable plan rate
- Free trials are limited to one per person, determined by payment method fingerprint, email address, and other signals at our discretion
- Attempting to circumvent the one-trial limit by using multiple payment methods, email addresses, or accounts constitutes fraud and will result in immediate account termination
Subscription, Billing, and Payment
5.1 Billing Cycle
Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance on the anniversary of your subscription start date. All fees are stated in United States Dollars (USD).
5.2 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees due. For free trials, you also authorize a temporary $1.00 authorization hold for payment method verification purposes, as described in Section 4.
5.3 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry the charge and notify you. If payment is not received within a reasonable period, your account may be suspended and your dedicated server decommissioned. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from account suspension due to non-payment.
5.4 Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' prior notice by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5.5 Taxes
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities. We will collect sales tax where required by law.
Cancellation and Refunds
6.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to the Service through the end of the paid period, after which your account will be deactivated and your server decommissioned.
6.2 Refunds
All subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods. At our sole discretion, we may issue a credit in cases of extended and verified service outages attributable to us.
6.3 Termination by Us
If we terminate your account due to a violation of these Terms, no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription period.
Acceptable Use Policy
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are prohibited from using the Service to:
Illegal Activities
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law
- Access, store, distribute, or transmit material that is illegal under applicable law
- Engage in unauthorized access to computer systems, networks, or data
Harmful and Abusive Conduct
- Transmit unsolicited bulk email (spam) or promotional materials without consent
- Distribute malware, spyware, ransomware, viruses, or any other malicious code
- Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks
- Perform port scanning or network reconnaissance of third-party systems without authorization
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm any individual or group
Intellectual Property and Privacy
- Infringe upon any copyright, trademark, patent, or other intellectual property right
- Intercept, monitor, or collect data from third parties without authorization
Child Safety
- Access, transmit, store, or distribute child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexually exploits minors. This is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination and reporting to law enforcement.
Service Integrity
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our written consent
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with any component of the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account we reasonably believe is engaged in prohibited conduct, without prior notice.
No-Logging and Privacy
Our data collection and privacy practices are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We operate a strict no-logging policy with respect to VPN activity. We do not monitor or record your internet traffic, browsing history, DNS queries, or VPN connection activity.
Service Availability
We make commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the Service is available at all times. However, we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance, emergency security patching, third-party infrastructure failures, or force majeure events. Our status page at norexvpn.com/status provides real-time service information.
Intellectual Property
All content, software, trademarks, logos, and materials comprising the Service are the property of Akaco Technical Solutions LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service. You may not use our name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, IN WHICH CASE THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS APPLY TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, AKACO TECHNICAL SOLUTIONS LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE NINETY (90) DAYS IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Akaco Technical Solutions LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party rights; or (d) any content transmitted through your account.
Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription from the dashboard and requesting account deletion in Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for material breach of these Terms, non-payment of fees, or as required by law. Upon termination, your dedicated server will be decommissioned and its contents permanently deleted. Sections 10, 11, 12, 13, and 16 survive termination.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Akaco Technical Solutions LLC is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent irreparable harm.
Class Action Waiver. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis only. You waive any right to bring or participate in a class action or representative action.
Miscellaneous
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Akaco Technical Solutions LLC with respect to the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision shall not constitute a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
